Uniting Against Lung Cancer funds scientific research that aims to enable patients to win their battles with lung cancer and live healthy lives years after diagnosis. Our program

1. funds translational, innovative science,
2. attracts the best and brightest young researchers to the field of lung cancer, and
3. supports open collaboration and sharing of ideas.

To date, we have awarded over $7 million dollars to academic investigators engaged in cutting-edge research of lung cancer, $1.25 million in 2010. We consider our funding venture philanthropy with a return on investment based on scientific progress and follow-on funding from other sources, and increasing the number of promising investigators entering the field of lung cancer research to become the next generation of leaders.
