Strolling Supper with Blues & News

Joan’s Legacy is the founding Partner of Uniting Against Lung Cancer, and the Strolling Supper with Blues & News remains our flagship annual gala. The 2014 event will continue to be a lively and hopeful celebration honoring all those touched by lung cancer and raising critically needed funds for research.

This year's Strolling Supper will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 6:30pm at Gotham Hall in NYC.

Joan's Legacy was created to foster progress in the fight against lung cancer by the friends and family of Joan Scarangello, a gifted, passionate news writer and non-smoker who lost her battle with the disease at age 47. Her friends and colleagues, Brian Williams and Tom Brokaw, pay tribute to her memory as the honorary chairmen of The Strolling Supper, and local news anchor Bill Ritter emcees the event. Grammy award-winning blues artist Delbert McClinton performs live, making the Strolling Supper truly not-to-be-missed.

The event also boasts a spectacular silent auction featuring vacations, luxury goods, sports memorabilia and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Preview 2014 Strolling Supper silent auction items here.

In the 12 years since the first Strolling Supper, Joan’s Legacy and UALC have awarded more than 100 grants to dedicated researchers at the nation’s top cancer centers—more than $11.5 million in funding with over $57 million in follow-on funding.

Last year's gala was our most successful Strolling Supper to date, raising over $1.35 million! Thank you to all of our supporters and guests who made 2013 our best year yet. See event photos from the 2013 Strolling Supper here.
