Fund Research Grants

Gifts toward our Scientific Program will allow UALC to increase the likelihood of new discoveries in the field and cutting edge treatments. Individuals have the opportunity to fund / co-fund a grant in name of the family or loved one.

Research grant recipients are awarded $100,000 over two years ($50,000/year) through our grants program. To date we have invested over $7 million towards innovative translational research, resulting in over $40 million in additional support from government and other sources, over 100 peer-reviewed publications and over 120 presentations of research at scientific meetings.

UALC funded research has made a dramatic impact on personalized medicine for lung cancer patients. Work funded by UALC has directly impacted currently approved targeted treatments for many lung cancer patients, including those with EGFR mutations (20-30% of lung cancer patients in the US), and has lead to a number of ongoing clinical trials testing new therapies. Our program has a strong track record of selecting the most promising research and investigators, jumpstarting the careers of many of today’s leading lung cancer experts.

You can help make advancements in the field of lung cancer by funding or co-funding a research grant. Please contact us to learn more.
