Michelle is riding in the TD Five Boro Bike Tour with Uniting Against Lung Cancer's Team UALC for her Dad, Walter.

“Throughout his diagnosis, my father never showed signs of fear. He stayed strong, kept working, and continued to be the man everyone respected and loved. He was the life of the party, and the best dad a girl could ask for. I am proud to call him my father, and I miss him more than words can say. I’m riding with TEAM UALC to fund lung cancer research, to raise awareness, and to find a cure.”

Team UALC provides the opportunity to compete in many different race and endurance events throughout the year, while making a difference in the fight against lung cancer. Team UALC races for all those affected by lung cancer, and raises funds for research towards a cure. More information about Team UALC here.

This terrible disease claims more lives than breast, colorectal, pancreatic, and prostate cancers combined. However, there is hope and strength in numbers, and we can unite to make a difference. Over 400 people die from lung cancer each day, and every 2 minutes another person is diagnosed. By sharing our stories, we can support and motivate one another to continue the fight against lung cancer.
