Lissa Florman Research Fund
My mom, Lissa Florman, was diagnosed with lung cancer in the spring of 2008. She was young, healthy, active, and a non-smoker-- not at all the sort of person you would associate with lung cancer. In reality though, lung cancer can affect anyone- and it is a growing epidemic in women that is being largely ignored.
In 2010, friends and family gathers for an evening to dance in her memory, and learn about the disease that took her life much too early. Together, we were able to raise $70,000 for lung cancer research!
My mom was always so generous and determined to do the right thing. She always fought for the underdog and she wanted to give a voice to those who could not speak for themselves. Please help me continue my mom's legacy by fighting this disease.
